Come back to your own frequency.
FMI is a small retreat in the Ojai foothills built around three practices: sound, stillness, and intention. Guests come for a single sound bath or a four-day immersion — most come back for both.
Everything traces back to one of three things.
Sound has a frequency. Stillness is trained through meditation. Nothing changes without intention behind it. Every session, workshop, and retreat at FMI lives inside one of these three — or the place where two of them meet.
Frequency
Sound baths, gong ceremonies, and tuning-fork bodywork — the practices that ask you to listen instead of think.
Meditation
Daily guided sits, silent mornings, and walking meditation along the property's paths.
Intention
New and full moon ceremonies, intention-setting workshops, and closing circles at the end of every stay.
A retreat is a shape, not just a schedule.
Arrival, attunement, immersion, integration — the same four-part arc whether you're here for a weekend or a week. We've learned it's the shape, more than the length, that actually changes something.
People mid-transition, mostly.
Some guests arrive after a loss, a diagnosis, a divorce, a long year at work that finally caught up with them. Others just feel a low hum of needing to stop for a few days and haven't been able to name why. We don't ask for a reason at check-in. Most people find one by the second day.
